In just a few days, the country will celebrate His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 79th Birthday. Various preparations are underway ahead of 15th July, especially around Bandar Seri Begawan. The atmosphere around the capital has now noticeably changed to symbolise the festive mood of the celebration.

During the day, decorations including the national flags and arches enliven several main roads. Large-sized banners are also installed at several buildings in the capital.

Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien, which will be the focal point, is also decorated to reflect the festive atmosphere.

At night, various religious and cultural performances will be held at the festive stage provided. The tents to accommodate the sales booths have also been set up at the parking area opposite the Royal Regalia Museum.

The night atmosphere is also enlivened with colourful lights and arches.
